DAY 14 THIMPU/PARO/BANGKOK/YANGON At approximately 7:00 AM depart the Taj Tashi for the Paro airport. 11:10 AM Depart Paro via Druk Air flight # 126 direct service to Dhaka and continuing service to Bangkok. Set your watch back 1 hour. Approximate travel time: 6 hours. 4:10 PM Arrive Bangkok. You will have a 3 hour, 10 minute layover and change of planes. 7:20 PM Depart Bangkok via Myanmar Airways International flight # 332 direct service to Yangon. Total flying time: 1 hour, 15 minutes. Set your watch back 30 minutes. 8:05 PM Arrive Yangon. After completing immigration and custom formalities you will be met by your guide outside the baggage claim area and escorted to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to the Strand Hotel. Your guide will be holding a sign marked ‘Your Name’. At the Strand Hotel reservations for a Deluxe Suite have been confirmed for the following 2 nights. Originally built in 1901 by the famed Sarkies Brothers, The Strand Hotel stands for all that were wonderous and opulent in a bygone era. Restored to its former glory, the Victorian-styled Strand combines the charms of the 1920’s and 1930’s with lavish modern day amenities. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel’s 32 beautifully appointed suits are the essence of timeless elegance, and boast high ceilings, teakwood floors, spacious bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms. Remaining true to this mission there is no swimming pool or fitness center. There is no front desk as such. Guests who arrive are taken directly up to their rooms.
