The drive takes approximately 3 hours. 1:05 PM Recommended check in at the Greymouth- Tranz Alpine Train Station. 1:45 PM Depart the Tranz-Alpine train station and travel through the Southern Alps. The Tranz Alpine is rated one of the world’s great scenic railway journeys.
