DAY 40 QUEENSTOWN/BLUFF/ STEWART ISLAND Meals included: Breakfast Check out time is 11:00 AM. Transfer from Queenstown to Bluff. The drive takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Bluff is one of the oldest European settlements in New Zealand. Come here to enjoy the scent of the sea and the rugged character of an oystering port. The port of Bluff is the home of Bluff oysters – reputed to be the best in the world. At 4:30 PM check-in for your 5:00 PM sailing on the Stewart Island Ferry and transfer to the Stewart Island Lodge. Experience Foveaux Strait in comfort and style on board an express catamaran. During the one-hour crossing between Bluff and Stewart Island keep a lookout for wildlife, especially seabirds. Watching mollymawks (albatross) soaring behind the ferry is a fantastic sight. Comprehensive commentaries provide information on the interesting landmarks commonly seen, including Dog Island Lighthouse, Ruapuke Island, the Titi Islands and Mt Anglem - Stewart Island’s highest point.
